Are there school fees to be paid?
We do not have set school fees, but we ask each family for a minimal donation each term to cover the cost of the additional activities which we bring into the school to support our learning programme.
However, in year 7 and 8 to cover "tech" consumable costs for work undertaken off site a cost of $45.00 is expected to be paid by all participants In addition there may be a transport cost linked to a trip that the class is undertaking.
Books and pencils, do you sell them?
Yes we do. Ask at reception for your child's stationary box; the price across the whole school is $10.00.
Remember getting your child organised in this way is the first step to success for them!
Does the school have a tuck shop?
We do not run a tuck shop and encourage parents to pack interesting and healthy snack options for their child. Sandwiches, fruit and vegetables provide a good balanced diet Please ensure that your child has something to eat before they arrive at school and at both morning interval and lunch. Everyday the school provides each student with lunch. Children are NOT allowed to bring fizzy drink, large packets of chips, chocolate and lollies etc. It is cheaper and more nutritious to provide a homemade snack for children. We have supervised morning tea and lunch eating times.
Where can I buy the school uniform?
The Glen Innes uniform is available from The Warehouse, Sylvia Park. All children are required to wear the Glen Innes uniform to school; this should demonstrate a personal pride of Glen Innes School within the community and of their personal learning journey.
