Glen Innes School is at the CPF-RED settings. School is OPEN for on site learning with public health measures in place

The Red setting protocols include:

All parents, caregivers, whānau, and other visitors are required to wear face coverings indoors and encouraged to do so when on site.
All ākonga (students) Years 4 and up must wear face coverings indoors and when in close contact with others.
All ākonga aged 12 and up must wear face coverings on public transport and school transport.
You do not need to wear a face covering when at special interest education, such as music lessons, art groups and girl guides although we strongly encourage you to.
Students are encouraged to practice safe physical distancing from each other.
All students are reminded to continue hand washing and sanitising.
If you have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, stay home and get a test.
Students 5 years and older are encouraged to be vaccinated with their free COVID-19 vaccination now. You can book your vaccination online or by phone. Book your free vaccination here or go through your nearest drive-through vaccination centre.

Please keep in mind the following changes that has been made and will continue:

Please try and get your child to school between 8:30am and 8:55 am.
Please drop your child at the school gate. We encourage parents to park on Eastview Road when dropping students at school.
Please send your child to school fully prepared for the day (bag, snack, device and charger).
Any student who is ill should be kept at home, and the school according informed. Children who fall ill at school will need to be collected from school as soon as possible.

Please take note of our school times: School will start at 9.00am and end at 3.00pm. There are three breaks: Break #1 at 10.10am; Break #2 at 11.40am [lunch time] and Break #3 at 1.20pm.

If you need to visit the school, please report to the the Reception on your arrival.

Glen Innes School will be at Alert Level 3 from Wednesday, 22 September 2021. School is CLOSED*. No parents/caregivers are permitted onsite.

We will continue to provide on-line lessons through the class website for all students with access to online learning. Encourage your child to visit the "Emergency Closure" tab (or button) on their class website to access their learning. This link will also take you to learning activities that your child can access. Learning packs will be made available to students who are unable to get online. Please contact your child's class teacher to arrange contactless delivery of packs if needed.

The Prime Minister has mandated that all non-essential workers are to remain at home for the duration of the lockdown.
Please follow good hygiene practices when hand washing, coughing or sneezing.

Please try and get your child to school between 8:30am and 8:55 am from Monday, 8 March 2021.
Please drop your child at the school gate. No cars or parents are permitted onsite at the moment - unless you have a confirmed appointment with reception.
If you do need to come onto the school site, please go to reception first and sign the contact tracing register, as requested by the Ministry of Education.
Please send your child to school fully prepared for the day (bag, morning tea, device and charger).
Any student who is ill should not be coming to school. Our non-contact medical thermometers will be used to check students temperatures. Children who fall ill at school will need to be collected from school as soon as possible.

Glen Innes School will be at Alert Level 3 from Monday, 29 February 2021. School is CLOSED for the majority of students. No parents/caregivers are permitted onsite.

Please note that the BoT meeting, Powhiri, Pumpkin weigh-in and the meeting for 4 year old parents all postponed. We will continue to provide on-line lessons through the class website for all students with access to online learning. To ease the integration of our students back to school, we have changed our break times. School will start at 9.00am and end at 3.00pm. Now there will be three breaks: Break #1 at 10.10am; Break #2 at 11.40am and Break #3 at 1.20pm.

If your child has a school device that needs repair please bring it to school and we will make arrangements for it to be repaired.

Glen Innes School will be moving to Alert level 3 from next week 28 April. The Ministry of Education has asked us to alert you of the following:

Only students whose parents/caregivers are allowed to work (and there is nobody at home to supervise them) should be sending their child to school from 29 April 2020 - Is this your household?

A survey will be conducted over the next couple of days to help us plan possible class layouts. Please ensure your contact details are up to date or we would not be able to provide support that your child needs.

Students attending will be working and having breaks that are not part of the 'normal' school day to maintain bubble safety.

No parents/caregivers are permitted onsite without a prior appointment - not even to drop off lunch!

Term 2 starts tomorrow, 15 April 2020. We start Term 2 still in lockdown, This means:

School is still closed, and no one is permitted to enter.
Your child is still learning in his/her bubble at home.
The teachers continue to support children through their class sites, email and Google meeting.

If your child has a device that now needs a physical repair, or you need help setting it up, please call our technical team FUSION during office hours on 09-801 2800.
